What do you do? 

If “The 1718 Bates-Hendrick House Bar” doesn’t quite illuminate enough - here’s the gist: we have a small but mighty menu of small bites, hand-crafted sandwiches and a larger list of old-school crafted cocktails, craft beers and cask-crafted wines. (So cask-crafted wines isn’t a thing, but it needed a description.)

 

We are pretty new to the neighborhood and looking to provide a nifty spot to meet your neighbors, watch a game and grab a bite without paying for parking! As sophisticated as a house turned bar can be, we’ve got a posh flair with a south-of-downtown vibe. A perfect mix - just like a house and a bar...

Why a house?

Why not a house? The East Street corridor used to be home to several commercial businesses back in the day. Today, we’re hoping to be part of the pioneering group bringing back some much needed bustle to our ‘hood. We tried to keep as much of the 1900 house as we could - from floors to doors - we tried to maintain what makes Bates-Hendricks such a cool local.
